Kibbutz Ashdot Yaakov - Ichud

Ashdot Yaakov started as a small settlement of Jewish pioneers from The Latvia and Russia. They were visionaries who wanted to create a free and egalitarian society in which everybody would work and contribute to the formation of the Jewish settlement in Palestine. The Jordan Valley of those times was very different from that of today: a dusty sun-blazed gorge. 

Visit the guest house coffee shop to see some of the equipment they were using these days.
